A mostly coastal walk from Sandown to Ryde via Culver Cliff, Bembridge windmill, St Helen's Duver and Seaview

Train Ryde Pier Head 1003, Ryde Esplanade 1006 arrives Sandown 1023
The route includes sections of road and coastal promenade but also tracks and footpaths. Some sections of path may be muddy, in particular descending the north side of Culver Down. A section of the IOW Coastal path at Bembridge Forelands has been closed due to erosion, so the route is via Glover's Farm and Bembridge windmill.
There will be morning and lunch stops, so please bring food and drink for the day. Lunch stop at Bembridge where there are pubs, cafes and shops. Other pubs and cafes are passed later.
The route crosses Southern Vectis bus route 8 on several occasions, so it would be possible to return to Ryde earlier by bus if required.
This walk was originally planned for 22nd March but has been rescheduled due to a reduced catamaran service on that day due to works at Portsmouth Harbour.
