Overview

A lovely autumnal walk through the woods from Bere Regis, following sections of the Jubilee Trail and Hardy Way.  We’ll head out along the river, up into Piddle Wood and then down to Briantspuddle for a short snack break. After picking up the Hardy Way, we’ll head back to Bere Regis via Black Hill which has some tricky downhill sections used by mountain bikers.
Some sections of the route are quite muddy so good footwear required.
This walk is shorter than our usual walks so that we are back in time for the AGM.

There is no need to book for the walk or AGM.

The AGM will take place at the Drax Arms in Bere Regis. Attendance is optional but please do come along if you can. You can bring your own lunch or have a meal at the pub (no pre-booking required).

  • Fitness - all participants are responsible for their own health and fitness to undertake this walk. We’re known for being one of the quicker Dorset groups, our pace is reasonably brisk. Please contact the Leader if you have any concerns.
  • Food and drink - please bring sufficient food and drink. We will have 1 short snack stop
  • Toilets - there are no toilets on the route.
  • Dogs - no dogs except RAD
  • Check the weather beforehand and dress appropriately
