Overview

A moderately flat linear walk, no hills, mud or farm animals.  We follow the river Wandle nature trail through a series of parks, nature reserves, and wetlands.

We will pass Merton Hall Park, William Morris and Libertys printing factory.  Lunch at Merton Abbey Mills where there are a choice of places to eat, William Morris Pub, Watermill Café, Willow Bough Tea Room to name but a few. Plenty of places to have a packed lunch. In the afternoon we continue through to Ravensbury Park, Watermeade Nature reserve and onto Carshalton Ponds.   Here we leave the Wandle and make our way to the finish of the walk at Carshalton Railway Station.
