This walk is a pleasant mix. It's a combination of woods, fields and lane walking (which should allow us to get some mud off of our boots!!). It is not excessively hilly, although at the end we do need to climb back up to the car park.
Initially, we follow the Oxfordshire Way from Christmas Common through the woods which have retained their autumn colours despite there being a fresh carpet of leaves. On the edge of Pishill, we will have a banana break with a view. We continue on to Maidensgrove Common and onto lunch around the pond (I did see coi carp) at Russell's Water. After lunch, its on to Cookley Green before returning along the Shakespeare Way and Swan's Way before the final climb up Watlington Hill.
