We are Herts Weekend Walkers, HWW for Short . We are aimed at people who are normally working during the week and can usually only find time to get outside and enjoy a walk at the weekend.

We meet opposite the Bull public house in the High Street. We head off in the direction of the church before crossing the railway bridge and heading in the direction of Watkin’s Hall Farm. We continue up the bridleway to Back Lane before heading towards Bulls Green and Coltsfoot. We follow the footpaths following the contours of Nancybury Gorse continuing through Brickground Wood and Nicholson Wood heading in the direction of Bramfield Woods and then continuing back along Perrrywood Lanes towards Watton Common and the Parish Church before arriving back at the Bull PH for refreshments.
Additional Notes: There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk.
Walkers who are completely new to Ramblers are welcome to attend up to 3 walks prior to joining, after which we will ask that you sign up to become a member.
Boots or Wellies are a must for this walk, good paths but waterlogged in some areas.
Starting Point: Opposite the Bull Public House 115 High Street, Watton at Stone, SG14 3SA. Please do not use the Pub Car Park, please park with courtesy around the village.
