The walk circles southwards through woods and fields from the reservoir, passing through Sharpthorne and picking up the Sussex Border Path, with views towards the South Downs, and then looping back along the Greenwich Meridian Trail, with a fine view of the reservoir. The terrain is undulating, with a lot of small and ups and downs but no major ascents or descents (total ascent 906 ft, total descent 892 ft). The walk begins and ends in a Nature Reserve, and there is a hide next to the car park.
Longer and/or steeper: 1 ascent & 1 descent (see walk description) / 3 stiles / 2 - 2.5 mph (our usual pace) / well-behaved dogs on short leads welcome by prior arrangement with the leader - please text Sarah on 07842 321341 / picnic lunch.
