Join me for this autumnal stroll through the Warwickshire countryside. Our walk begins with a 2-mile meander along permissive paths through the developing Heart of England Forest. We will see a variety of woodland habitats, from newly planted plots to mature areas of forest. As we pass through Dorsington we will take a morning break outside of Dorsington Church. Our walk continues through field paths to the village of Welford on Avon where we will pause for lunch. Our return journey of about 3 miles takes us past attractive residential properties, through the churchyard, and alongside the banks of the River Avon. The final quarter of a mile is road walking where care will be required. There is one stile, a single climb and most paths are easy but could be muddy after rain. There are pub toilets after about 5 miles, otherwise rural.
