The walk is 4.3miles.
The furthest point on the walk is Longacre in Rockwell Green.
On the way there we will see the back of Tonedale Mill from Fox's Field with its community gardening project. Next stop is Linden Meadow to see how the recently planted trees are being cared for. Over the railway line and along by Westford stream to Rockwell Green and Longacre which is another Transition Town Wellington site with fruit trees and bushes.
We return via the railway bridge at Westford to take Linden drive public footpath to the Basins. We divert to Riverside from Springfield and return past Swallowfield which is due to close after Christmas. Over the railway bridge where Wellington station was on the left up until it was closed by Beeching. Past the entrance to Tonedale House, and back to our starting place.
Some might like to linger in the old factory site and visit Brazier Coffee Roasters Café which is open from 8.30am until 4pm.
