Overview

Walk through Wendover market town centre to soon ascend steadily through trees up a long hill to the centre of Wendover Woods, with a short break at the cafe/toilets, near to the highest point in The Chilterns. Descend down the Firecrest trail to The Hale, to soon ascend again up through Hale Wood to cross The Ridgeway. Crossing fields with some woods, via Lordling Wood and Swan Bottom, we reach 'The Lee' village green for our picnic lunch. Hopefully, we will use the Pub nearby for drinks and toilets. A level return to Wendover following 'The Chiltern Link' path northwards.
