Overview

We start from the small village of Wentnor in the East Onny valley on the quiet western side of the Long Mynd walking across fields before ascending the Long Mynd via Stanbatch. We walk south on the Portway then head east along a grass track to Minton Hill and join an old drover's road to the Packet Stone. Finally we return across Yapsel Bank and descend the hillside back to the East Onny Valley. You will have wonderful views throughout the walk with the possibility of seeing wild ponies.
