We are a friendly, socially active Ramblers Group welcoming all who enjoy walking. Our walks programme is extensive and varied covering all days of the week.
Coffee/toilets at Claremont NT (card not required). Cross the road to the common and ascend to The Ledges which we traverse with good views of the snaking Mole, then across the remaining common for lunch (pub/picnic). After lunch across a golf course to Moore Place (possible bus option to station), and along into the town before the station. Text me to book by Monday 6pm.
Travel Update:
If you are travelling from Sutton get the SL7 at about 0940 from Grove Road Stop S, calls at Cheam, N Cheam, Worcester Park and alight at Kingston Station. When I did the recce, Cromwell Road Bus Station was closed so I walked via Castle Street to Eden Street for stop D1 to catch the 715 Falcon Bus at 1046. You can probably make this connection if you take the later SL7 from Sutton.
However if you are travelling from Wimbledon, get the 1006 train to Esher and walk S about 5 mins to get the 715 at Littleworth Common at about 1100. The bus is hourly so it is important to catch it, the only way to get to Claremont!
