A moderate 5.3 mile circular walk from the Virgins and Castle pub, Abbey Fields, Kenilworth venturing westward into the countryside, past Kenilworth Castle, The Pleasance and various woods returning by a different route to Kenilworth where a pub meal will be available at the Queen and Castle. Approximately 3/4 of this walk is on some sort of paving while the remaining 1/4 can be very muddy. There will be a stop during the walk when you may consume any snacks and drinks you may wish to bring. The walk itself starts at 1020 and ends at 1305 approximately, any other timinings shown include bus travel from and to Coventry.
Your walk leader Peter King will meet you at the bus departure point at Coventry Pool Meadow Bus Station.

Overall Transport Plan is as follows:
National Express Number 11 bus departs Coventry Pool Meadow at 0935 and arrives Kenilworth Abbey Fields 1019.
Walk as described above followed by pub lunch, table is booked for 1330.
After the meal a short walk back to Abbey Fields.
National Express Number 11 bus departs Abbey Fields towards Coventry at approximately 20 minute intervals.
Those holding a bus pass issued anywhere in England may travel free of charge on these buses. Those not holding a suitable bus pass should ask the driver for the cheapest return fare.
Coventry Pool Meadow Bus Station is the meeting place for most walkers including the leader boarding the bus to the walk starting point in Kenilworth. Other walkers travelling from elsewhere should advise the leader about their joining details as mentioned in the walk description.
