We are the Southwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a moderate 7.5 mile walk in the West Leake Hills giving extensive views across the Trent valley towards the city of Nottingham and over much of South Nottinghamshire. The countryside here is gently rolling and the route passes through the attractive villages of East and West Leake with their contrasting churches.
Please contact the Leader to let them know that you are coming on the walk. Please leave your name, contact telephone number and email address. Please also state whether you intend going to the designated meeting place or directly to the start of the walk. This will help ensure that you are not left behind. This should not be regarded as "booking a place".
If you later find that you cannot come on the walk, please notify the Leader as soon as possible in order that the group is not waiting for you to arrive on the day.
There will be refreshment stops and a lunch-time break, so bring some food and drink.

Southwell Leisure Centre long stay car park, off Nottingham Road
The walk will start from the free carpark in Gotham Road, off Main Street, East Leake. Toilets are situated across the road from the carpark. There are also several cafes in the immediate area.
