We are the Taunton Deane Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From West Monkton we take the East Deane Way to Gotton, ascend to Woodball Plantation, across to Burlinch, down to Coombe Bottom before returning via Overton to West Monkton. Four stiles, a variety of tracks, field edges and lanes; mud unlikely unless the weather changes but nettles prominent. Total elevation around 160 m
Car parking kindly offered by Il Basilico (previously West Monkton Inn). They are open for Italian lunch and will offer drinks afterwards. It would be nice to reciprocate their hospitality.
