Overview

A very different walk to Cyrn-y-Brain from that in the previous month. From the Ponderosa cafe, the footpath goes northwards across open moorland, with views ot the Clwydian Hills Range, to join Offas Dyke at the pretty hamlet of Hafod Bilston.

After a short climb into the forest, we follow forest roads and paths to ascend the western edge before emerging close to Sir Watkins Tower and the communication masts at summit of Cyrn-y Brain.

Then we descend with great views of Worlds End, the cliffs of Eglwyseg Mountain and the trees of the Foel Plantation on our way back to the Ponderosa.

Weather permitting, we will be able to enjoy superb autumn colours throughout!

Please notify walk leader if going direct to start.
