Overview

The route goes over two hills with commanding views of the surrounding area. After walking up to the Thors Cave approach on established paths we ascend further on to Wetton village with a potential opportunity for a welcome morning ☕. Then onto Wetton Hill, 1174 ft before descending into the vale before the ascent of Ecton Hill reaching it's trig point at 1210 ft. We descend to the valley via a disused copper mine and further down the hill, a gun powder hut before reaching the valley bottom and a gentle return to the car park
