Overview

A moderately hilly 10-mile route which climbs out of the village of Thixendale on the Wolds Way, then heads down Deep Dale and through the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy. We follow the path of the disused Malton to Driffield railway line and then up onto an exposed area of the Wolds affording expansive views of the surrounding countryside. There will be time for lunch before descending back towards Thixendale via Court Dale.
