To save time on the day and the grouping of people together to hear the details of the risk assessment, here it is in writing. 4.75 miles. To include two stiles, two short but sharp climbs. Dogs on Leads please.
Risk assessment
Take care as we walk beside the A6, crossing it after crossing the Derwent bridge. The first short climb here, which could be slippery if wet. Some minor road walking on two stretches, keep right and in single file. Foot bridge which could be slippery if wet. The last half mile, downhill, muddy and rutty if wet. No cattle seen. Terrain Open fields and good firm tracks. We return crossing the Bridge and A6, extreme care at this busy junction. Morning break near to Long Wood.
