Overview

This is a gently undulating walk along the paths, tracks and lanes to the east of Whitchurch Hill, following part of the Chiltern Way extension.  Leaving the car park, we head east towards Collins End and Nuney Green, skirting Tokers Green to reach Kidmore End.  Here, we turn north and west passing through various woodlands – Withy Copse, Nippers Grove and College Wood before returning to Whitchurch Hill and the car park.

The going is good to firm.  The walk passes through extensive woodland, which will provide welcome shade should it be hot; although if there is significant rainfall before the walk, the wooded stretches could well be muddy/very muddy.  There is one very exposed stretch where the weather can choose which element(s) to throw at us.  There is one short but steep(ish) descent and 2 stiles in fair condition.
