This circular walk takes us around the understated and undulating farmland in the middle of East Hertfordshire. Starting at Whitehill, a satellite settlement of Little Munden (Dane End), so named because of the abundance of chalk in its soil, we head towards Potter's Green and Collier's End.
If lucky we may see one of the herds of deer that were first documented in the Domesday book in 1086. There will also be plenty of cattle, sheep, and free-range goats and chickens.
Later on we will pass through Old Hall Green and Levens Green, before returning to the start at Whitehill golf centre, which proclaims itself to be "the finest rural golf course that Hertfordshire has to offer".
Starting point: please park at Whitehill Golf, Whitehill, Dane End, SG12 0JS by kind permission of the owners.
There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance.
If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk. Totally new members are allowed to come on up to three walks before joining.
