Overview

A Varied walk on the edge of the Peak District with great views all day.

A gentle start (to get warmed up) is followed by a steep ascent to the summit of Shutlingsloe. After, hopefully, enjoying the expansive views we will descend to the Macclesfield Forest to follow an undulating route to the Cat & Fiddle (our highest point on this walk).

We will then make our way across exposed moorland until dropping into the valley of the R Dane which will guide us to Three Shires Head. A final gentle climb will take us around Cut-thorn Hill and then back to the cars.
