The walk will start at Bedwyn Station. From here, we’ll head out along the Kennet and Avon Canal. As we follow the peaceful canal, we'll see plenty of moored canal boats, each with its own unique charm leading us down to the Compton Steam Pumping station housing 2 working beam steam engines which date back to 1809.
Our route then takes us up to Wilton Windmill. Standing tall on the hill, the windmill offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
From the windmill, we'll head down through a tranquil woodland area to rejoin the canal and continue our journey along its peaceful waters. Soon, we'll pass by the historic Bedwyn Church and finally make our way through Bedwyn Village.
