We are the Cambridge Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join us for a walk in south Cambridgeshire enjoying wonderful views of the countryside. We will start by walking along Victoria Drive which was used by Queen Victoria during her visit to Wimpole in October 1843.
We will climb to Thorn Hill where we will take a break to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding villages before travelling onto the Wimpole estate including the lake and Folly. The walk will end at the restaurant at Wimpole where you can purchase food and drink or consume your own.
Please bring food and drink with you for the break if you wish, food will also be available at the end of the walk in Wimpole.
Meet by the old entrance to Wimpole. Approaching from the A603 turn onto Old Wimpole Road and continue past the new entrance for Wimpole Hall for approximately 200 yards. There is plenty of parking on the road opposite the old entrance.
