Overview

Starting at the National Stone Centre, this walk goes down to Cromford, Middleton, and back up to Wirksworth, three places with interesting industrial heritage roots.  The walk mainly uses footpaths and trails, with some roadside walking.

The terrain is rough underfoot in places, and there may be livestock in some fields.  We will be walking close to quarry workings and deep water, although fencing is in place.  There are 10+ stiles and gates on this route.
