Starting from the car park at The Woodshed, Eastnor Deerpark (off the A438) we walk up to the obelisk and then across to British Camp. For those that knew Jan Williams our first stop for a break will be at her memorial bench overlooking the reservoir. We will then return to The Woodshed, stopping at the obelisk for a second break.
Although this walk is only 8 miles there are several fairly steep ascents and descents. There may be some muddy areas, also the track is uneven in places, walking poles would be an advantage. There are a few cattle grids to cross but no styles. The views on a clear day are magnificent and worth making the effort for.
Two breaks are planned, please bring food and drink for these.
We are not making any arrangements for food after the walk but refreshments should be available at The Woodshed.
Car parking is free of charge at The Woodshed (our meeting point)
