Overview

Stages One and Two of the Capital Ring . A mix of paved walking and parks with some busy road crossings. The first part of the walk involves some hill work but overall surprisingly open feel to most of the route. There are cafes and shops along the route but a packed lunch is recommended. 
There a several dropping off points along the way so the walk can be as long as you feel. 
Meet outside Woolwich Station (Elizabeth Line) at 11am.

The walk is based on Colin Saunders’ Book The Capital Ring and walk updates can be obtained from TfL. Being a London/Urban walk there a a number of historically interesting talking points along the route. Public toilets are few and far between.

Meet just outside Woolwich Station Elizabeth Line please don’t confuse with Woolwich Arsenal DLR which not far away so if you travel on the DLR it’s easy to walk to the Elizabeth Line station. There are cafes walk is timed for 11am to allow full use of travel cards.
