Follow in the footsteps of former pilgrims on a restored ancient footpath from Droitwich to Worcester along the canal and the River Severn. We pass fields, locks and grassy banks before reaching Worcester racecourse and continuing to the pilgrims' final destination of Worcester cathedral, where we will see the tomb of King John and the restored shrine of St Oswald. Optional tea and cake at the cathedral cafe.
There will be a post-walk BBQ in Droitwich at the home of one of our members, for those who would like to attend. This will start at 5pm, allowing time for us to get back from Worcester. If you would like to come to the BBQ, please contact Naomi (the walk leader) by Wednesday 27 September. Food will be provided (there will be a charge of £5/person to cover costs). Bring your own drinks or you can buy them in Droitwich
