Overview

A varied walk through woodland, farmland and some of the most scenic stretches of the historic Staffs & Worcs and Stourbridge canals. One stile, no big hills. Joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers and Wolverhampton Ramblers.

We leave the meeting point in Walsall promptly at 09:00am.  The start time is the time the actual walk is due to start.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Walkers should check on www.sandwellramblers.org.uk that the walk has not been cancelled before leaving home.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves.
All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Booking is not necessary for this walk.
Accessible by public transport (National Express route 997 to meeting point, Diamond route 226A to start point).
York's Bridge on the B4154 between Pelsall and the A5 Turf Island will be closed on the date of this walk.
Walkers will need a packed lunch.
Please notify the leader if you intend to travel direct to the walk start.

King George V Park car park, Lawnswood Road, Wordsley, Stourbridge. Leave Walsall by A454 Black Country Route, at Keyway junction take A463, follow A463 to Birmingham New Road, turn L then R at lights to rejoin A463, follow A463 to A449 island, S on A449 through Wall Heath, L at B4178 junction, keep ahead at A4101 crossroads, after 1 mile go R at island to find park on L.
