Overview

This is the fifth leg of the Miller's Way. The route takes us through Wreay Woods. There are a few obstacles to negotiate (stepping over or under fallen tree trunks).  Roadworks on the Carlisle Southern Relief Road near Junction 42 of the M6 mean that a short diversion is required but we rejoin the route shortly thereafter.

Much of the route follows the River Petteril. The last part of the route is along suburban streets in Carlisle.
