A linear walk to Chilham Station led by Pam C (Mobile No: 07538 509205). An undulating walk along the Wye and Crundale Downs, with views over the surrounding countryside (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), passing through Sole Street, Godmersham, and the pretty village of Chilham. Please bring food and drink with you; the pub at Sole Street is now closed and is unlikely to re-open, so there will be a picnic lunch stop. Joint with Kensington, Chelsea & Wandsworth Group. Check trains the day before. Buy an off-peak day return to Chilham.
Wye Station (Southeastern train from Charing Cross at 09:29 (Platform 6), calling at Waterloo East at 09:32 and London Bridge at 09:38 and arriving at Ashford International at 10:48. Change there for Rail Replacement bus which departs Ashford at 11:00 and arrives at Wye at 11:12).
Chilham Station (Rail replacement bus departs at 16:59 and arrives at Ashford International at 17:20. Change there for 17:32 Southeastern service from Platform 2 which arrives at Charing Cross at 18:49).
