A walk along the River Tyne from Wylam to Newburn, and back along part of the Hadrian’s Wall path via Close House golf course, with good views across the Tyne Valley.

The walk is mainly flat along good multi use paths, with some sections on field and woodland paths. There is a steep ascent near the golf course, and some short sections of road walking. The riverside paths are used by cyclists as well as walkers. Public toilets located a short distance from the car park in Wylam, no others en route. 
Refreshments after the walk at the Boathouse pub in Wylam.
