Wylam, High Mickley & Low Prudhoe
A moderate, circular walk of 9.5 miles
From Wylam, we head through Prudhoe to High Mickley with a continuous, steady rise for approximately 4.5 miles - returning to Wylam, following The Tyne
A pleasant and scenic walk over fields, country roads, through woodland and some housing
There are 5 stiles, all at the earlier part of the walk
A short walk option will be available on the day.
Directions to the start point:
From Chester Le Street head North on the A1, at Junction 75 take the slip road and merge onto the A69 towards Hexham
Stay on the A69 for 5.8 miles then exit onto the slip road signposted B6528 Wylam, Horsley, Ovingham
At the top of the slip road, turn left then stop at the junction before carrying straight into Wylam
After approximately 1 mile, turn left onto Main Road and follow the road down (passed pubs and shops) to Wylam Car Park Tyne Riverside Country Park
