We have a network of Wellbeing Walks across Cheshire West and Chester supported by the Total Environment team in Cheshire West and Chester Council and other partners including The Canal and River Trust, Cheshire West Communities Together, Healthbox and Forestry England.
Each walk is unique in its location, routes and interests with all groups keen to welcome new walkers. Our walks vary between 20 and 90 minutes long with a large emphasis on the social side to walking, including a well-deserved cuppa at the end of them.
The walks in our network are largely open to all, although some may be closed to specific demographics and need e.g. support groups. For more details on each walk please go to the bottom of this page and visit our partners pages detailed below:
If you are interested in volunteering as a Walk Leader on a current walk or setting up a new walk, then please contact healthranger@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk
We welcome working with individual volunteers as well as community groups, businesses, charities and educational groups and provide training, mentoring, systems and insurance.
