Overview

Advanced walk through the beautiful fields and countryside of Arborfield.

PLEASE NOTE:

The walk is the most advanced in our Wellbeing Walk programme and we strongly suggest the new members joining the group have a sound level of fitness and health. Due to the terrain and distance, some experience of country walking would be useful but not essential.

Walkers are encouraged to walk at a speed that is fast enough to increase their heart/respiratory rate but still enable them to hold a conversation.

THE WALK

The route is mostly through woodlands and fields. The paths are rough, uneven and usually muddy in winter, and some stretches are up significant inclines. Walking boots are essential.

The route is 5-6 km depending on possible short-cuts. Walkers typically take 55 – 75 minutes to complete the route.

Coffee is available at the Henry Street Garden Centre.

May be muddy/wet after rain!

Please contact Healthwalks@wokingham.gov.uk if you would like to join the group and one of our friendly team will support you.
