Refresh your mind and body with our Tuesday Wellbeing Walks in and around the beautiful town of Moretonhampstead, set in Dartmoor National Park! We have a small, friendly group who attend regularly, making these walks a welcoming and social experience. Join us for walks that always finish with refreshments in a local café.
Walks alternate weekly between shorter Grade 2 routes (around 45-60 minutes, some uneven ground and gentle inclines) and longer Grade 3 routes (around 60-90 minutes, more demanding with inclines, uneven paths, and occasional stiles). Routes may be circular or linear, and the walk leader chooses the path based on weather and the group on the day.
Examples include a short linear walk from the car park to Howton and back (45–60 mins), or a circular route continuing down the hill, across the A382, past Sloncombe House, up the steep hill by the farm, and returning via the B3212 into Moreton (60–90 mins).
When and where: Every Tuesday at 10:30 am, meeting near the bus shelter in Court Street Car Park (TQ13 8LG). Parking and toilets are available nearby (charges may apply).
If you have questions about the walk, please contact us at greenspaces@teignbridge.gov.uk

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes ahead of walk start times especially if you are a new walker to the group. We recommend wearing sturdy comfortable footwear.
A ‘Sign Up’ Form will need to be completed before taking part in the walks, either in advance or at your first walk.
