Join us for a sociable and friendly walk to explore the footpaths of North Hayling. Meet at Northney Common car park PO11 0ND for a 1000 start.
July’s walk will be around 2.5 miles at a gentle to moderate pace, and is expected to take around 75 minutes. There will be an option to return to the car park after approx 1 mile for those who prefer a shorter walk. The route is flat and mainly on gravel trail and grassy paths. Paths may have muddy and/or wet patches after rain.
To join the walk please contact Helen on 07765 814134 or via the email link.
The route and meeting point are subject to change depending on weather and path conditions. Please check back here 24-48 hours before the walk for final details.
About our group:
The North Hayling Wellbeing Walk group meet monthly, usually on the third or fourth Friday of the month. Our walks generally last an hour to an hour and a half at a gentle to moderate pace (around 2mph). We make use of various paths in North Hayling and the West Hayling Local Nature Reserve and aim to walk a different route each month, subject to weather and underfoot conditions
Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and conditions. Paths may have mud and puddles after rain. There are sections without shade so a sunhat and water are recommended if the weather is warm.
Refreshments are available at Northney Farm Tea Room which is approximately 400m from the meeting point.
The car park has a 2m height barrier. The car park is quite small, please park carefully to maximise the space available. If the car park is full it is usually possible to park opposite numbers 25-33 Northney Road.
