Edenhall Ladies Walk

Get out and about with others in your community to enjoy a walk and a chat and enjoy the wonderful local surroundings. All walks last about an hour - shorter 30 minute walk options will also be available on most dates. After each walk there will be an opportunity to have a chat over a cup of tea and home-made cake in the VIC, Culgaith's community cafe, where you can find out more information about our walk programme and details of other community events. Leaving Edenhall we walk down to the River Eden keeping an eye out for heron, swans and ducks. Then we follow the riverside through the trees – tree roots provide some trip hazards! Then we wind our way up and back to the village. Wet weather makes the walk particularly tricky so we have an alternative route down to the riverside. We then detour to St Cuthbert’s Church where we study one of the many beautiful stained glass windows to try to find the exotic animal.
