Walks are over easy ground and taken at steady pace to suit everyone
Walks range from 10 to 90 minutes in length
At least one short walk a week, starting at the same time and place every week
All walks are accessible on foot or by public transport
You only need to join a group once to access all future walks
An enjoyable social walk starting from Mirehouse Community Centre. We choose from several routes depending on group size and ability. Usually level walking along the cycle/walking track towards Whitehaven Harbour or Moor Row, with some lovely green spaces, nature or local history along the way.
Most routes are easy-access with smooth, fairly level surfaces, mainly off-road or on pavements, with some short road sections or crossings. Optional shorter cut-offs are available. Well-behaved dogs are welcome (one dog per owner).
