Overview

Get out and about with others in your community to enjoy a walk and a chat and enjoy the wonderful local surroundings. All walks last about an hour - shorter 30 minute walk options will also be available on most dates. After each walk there will be an opportunity to have a chat over a cup of tea and home-made cake in the VIC, Culgaith's community cafe, where you can find out more information about our walk programme and details of other community events. Leaving Skirwith on the Kirkland road with magnificent Pennine views we turn off to visit Skelling Farm home of Edensoaring. If we’re in luck we’ll also see the gliders circling the skies. Retracing our steps we enjoy the views of the Lakeland hills. Sometimes we are able to visit the village church and see the work of a world-renowned sculptor and woodcarver.
