A 1.5-kilometre stroll through Carlisle’s historic quarter lasting 45 to 60 minutes with an opportunity to hear about some of the city’s main historic features.

Booking is not essential but advisable as the walk is limited to 12 participants. Advance bookings can be made at Carlisle Tourist Information in person or by phone: 01228 598596.

Accessibility: except for the cobbled entrance to the Castle the route is paved with one slight and short incline.

Walks will go ahead in all but the most unpleasant weather so please check the forecast and come prepared.

Participants should meet under the gateway into Carlisle Castle at 1.15 pm.
