Mobile App Status

This page is being used to communicate to members and volunteers the status of any reported issues while using the Ramblers Mobile App. 

Before reporting an issue, please check if it is already covered on this page.  If your issue is not listed, please report it to mobileapp@ramblers.zendesk.com.

We are continuously reviewing Zendesk queries and feedback form submissions, so if you have raised an issue that isn't listed, please allow us a few more days to check for any other reported issues. 

 

Release Notes: App Update Released 10th April 2025

  • Resolved: An issue with Android versions of the app had led to slow response times and crashing on a small number of affected devices, including the Samsung S24. 

 

Current Issues

The following issues are known to us, and the next update is intended to resolve these issues. Given testing and app store release processes can vary, we cant publish an exact expected update release date but all of the listed items are priority issues and an update will be released as soon as possible.

Any available workarounds will be included in the issue notes.

No Led Walks

Affecting: A small number of iOS users.

Some users are getting "No Led Walks" when searching using their Group search button. Many of these users find they are able to find walks by searching using the location search.

Wellbeing Walks Group Walks

Affecting: A small number of Android devices.

Wellbeing Walks do not consistently return when using the Group search.

Walk description truncation

Affecting: Sporadically affecting Android versions of the app.

Users are reporting the walk description, and what3words tag being truncated and shortened. This comes and goes and does not appear across all Android devices.

Message Refresh

Affecting: All iOS devices

Refreshing the app messages can cause the app to close. App messages are refreshed on the app opening, so users are unlikely to miss out on messages.

OS Maps

Affecting: All Android devices

Switching to OS Maps from the default can cause a crash. This has resulted from a background OS Map change and will be resolved with the next update.

 

Future Enhancements

We welcome suggestions for improving the Ramblers App and will carefully review each suggestion we receive and consider the feasibility, value, and alignment with Ramblers goals. Our aim is to continually improve the experience you receive from the app.
