Step Forward Walks for Women in North Wales

Friendly walking groups for young women aged 18-25 in Rhyl, Wrexham and Holyhead

CYMRAEG

28 July 2025

Ramblers Cymru is working with young women to develop free walking groups in Rhyl, Wrexham and Holyhead.

Our groups are a great way to meet new friends, learn new skills and discover new places to walk in the local area.

Walks so far have included Erddig, Dyserth Falls and the North Wales coastal path.

We also run workshops teaching skills like map reading, navigation, and how to stay safe when walking. So if you’ve always wanted to explore the outdoors but didn’t know where to start – we’re here to help.

Olivia Evans, who leads the programme, said: We’d love you to join us as we get out and explore our great outdoors, making friends along the way. All levels of fitness and experience are welcome – it’s a supportive, empowering environment where you can feel confident and motivated to get outside and stay active.”

How to get involved

If you’re aged 18-25 and live in Rhyl, Wrexham or Holyhead, you can find out more and get involved by contacting olivia.evans@ramblers.org.uk. No experience is needed – don’t worry about speed or fitness.

Walks for Women is a partnership with Actif North Wales.
