Overview

We follow the Derwent down Borrowdale, then climb steeply up to Watendlath Valley. A gradual ascent beside the beck leads us to the tarn, followed by a fairly short but steeper ascent over the pass and back down to Rosthwaite. Mostly good paths. A few hundred yards along the main Borrowdale road mostly along a narrow footpath.
