Overview

The walk leader is Evelyn Williams Mob 07790554957.

This circular walk of around 8 miles takes us from Annanhill Golf Club House down through woodland and into the Grange Estate then through the Mount House Estate and into Caprington Estate. We will have a coffee stop on Entering Caprington. We then head toward Caprington Golf Club which leads to the very picturesque village of Earlston and eventually back into the Caprington Estate passing Caprington Castle which is still the home of the Cunningham family. We will stop for lunch and the lovely bridge. We then head out of the Caprington Estate and through some nice houses toward Dundonald Road which then takes us back through the Mount and back through the Grange Estate and return to the cars

If there has been recent heavy rain we will encounter some muddy spots so good walking shoes gaiters and poles are advisable. We do walk through several parts of woodland and I am hoping the route will not be too muddy.

Meeting Arrangements : meet at East Ayrshire Council Car Park, London Road, Kilmarnock at 08.45 for a 09:00 departure. I will meet everyone at Annanhill. I ask that everyone parks at the old Club House so please turn in to Annanhill, first left,  after the traffic lights at the top of Irvine Road

There is parking available and I would ask that car sharing is used at London Road. I am making this request as being a weekend there will be a lot of golfers at the Club House and parking is limited. I am hoping to start the walk between 9.30 and 9.45.

If you have any questions please contact the walk leader, Evelyn Williams, Mob 07790554957.
