We will start along a woodland path before zig-zagging our way around Haddington Hill and Halton Wood up to the Wendover Woods Cafe for some early refreshment and loo-stop. From there the plan is to head North to Aston Hill and East and walk through part of the Dancers End Nature Reserve. We'll see bluebells before returning into Wendover Woods, to the top of Boddington Hill Iron Age Hill Fort and take a steep decent (which has a rope hand-rail) and return along the bottom edge of the woods back to the car park.
This walk is intended to be moderately brisk and is in a hilly area. Please bring a packed lunch.
Expect some muddy paths after the rain this week so please wear walking boots and bring poles if you use them.
All are welcome afterwards to stop for a drink at The Shoulder of Mutton (in Pound Street at the top of Wendover High Street, not far from the train station).
Well behaved dogs allowed.
The refreshments and toilets at the cafe are about or just under an hour into the walk.
"No car needed" is on the basis of the starting point being a half hour walk from Wendover train station.
