Overview

A walk with wonderful views beginning at the National Trust Car park at Ilam Park, where we climb Bunster Hill before dropping down to Dovedale via steps and then along Hall Dale to Stanshope. From there we make our way to Castern Hall. From there we go downhill over Rushley Bridge. At this point there is an opportunity for walkers who want to, to continue back to Ilam Park making the walk 8 miles long. For the long walk we go through Musden Wood and round to Blore Pastures before returning to the start. There is a steep section at the start. The long walk is of a moderate/strenuous level. We will have two stops, one for coffee and one for lunch.
