A lovely walk up the Ryburn Valley to Man's Head. There is varied terrain over moors, fields and woods and some ascent and descent, but your reward for your efforts is extensive views over Calderdale.
This walk requires a reasonable level of fitness as there are some accents and uneven paths as we rise to high moors.
As ever, Pennine weather can be variable and unpredictable so please dress appropriately for the forecast conditions.
Bring a packed lunch and drink to enjoy in the fresh air.
Meet at Mill Fold free car park, central Ripponden, off the main road up Ripponden Bank and signposted for the playing fields.
