A beautiful walk from Stow-on-the-Wold going over the high Cotswold Wolds and visiting two lovely, but contrasting, villages. It is moderately hilly with one quite long climb soon after the start. Expect great scenery and fine views.
Note: this is a dress rehearsal for the walk which is scheduled for Sunday 30th June as part of the 2024 Evesham Walking Festival. A map of the route can be viewed via the weblink below.
Bring refreshments for a snack break, but for those interested, there is also the option of visiting any one of the many cafes or pubs in Stow at the end of the walk
We will be walking on a mixture of quiet roads, unsurfaced lanes and field paths. There are no very steep or slippery bits. Lots of kissing gates but just 3 stiles. We will be crossing a busy main road twice and will also be walking on a fairly narrow verge beside a busy road for a short way (care!). We may also meet livestock (cattle) in one or two fields.
