A great walk to the highest point of the North Yorkshire Moors. On a clear day the views on this walk are fantastic, with views to the coast and across the Moors. It is graded as 'strenuous' due to the total ascent, with some steep ascents and descents. Ideal preparation for anyone going on a walking holiday to the Lake District!
The route taken from Chop Gate will be up Cold Moor Lane to Cold Moor, before joining the Cleveland Way to the Wain Stones and down Hasty Bank, crossing the road and then up to Carr Ridge onto Urra Moor and Round Hill. There follows a long descent to Medd Crag, William Beck Farm and to Chop Gate
