Overview

THIS SECTION WAS POSTPONED FROM 26 APRIL 2024 AS THERE WAS SEVERE FLOODING THAT MONTH.

We walk the Thames Path National trail from Lower Radley boat yard to Culham Lock passing Abingdon along the way. From Culham Lock we catch the number 33 bus to Didcot and the train home. Bring a drink and lunch. There is a cafe and toilets at Abingdon Bridge after 4.5 miles. It is a 20-minute walk from Radley station to the Thames Path.

If travelling by public transport catch the GWR train from Slough at 09:26, Maidenhead 09:32 Reading 09:55 to arrive at Didcot at 10:22. From Didcot we catch the 10:33 train to arrive at Radley at 10:42. If travelling from Burnham or Taplow catch an earlier train to board the GWR train at Maidenhead at 09:32. Buy return tickets to Radley.
